We are a growing professional services consulting firm, looking for a remote team member to lead Business Development. The position is responsible for strategy, implementation, and management of all business development activities.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads, identify, and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals and lead and facilitate pitch logistics
  • Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business. Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources.
  • Negotiate Professional Services Agreements, Statements of Work and other Contract Documents.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives. Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Develop a sales process that includes prospecting, qualifying, targeting, identifying customer needs, developing value propositions, presenting solutions and alternatives, and closing the sale for future project opportunities
  • Participates in industry and community organizations
  • Knowledge and use of behavior-based tools such as Social Style or DISC is a plus
  • Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • Two or more years of business development
  • To excel in this role you should be a self-starter, active listener, having a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business for cold calls and inbound warm leads.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience with sales techniques and a successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM software i.e., Salesforce
  • Ability to deliver presentations
  • Proven ability to thrive and excel in a lean, fast-paced, dynamic environment with high performance expectations.
